Modeling & SimulationIf you provide us with a brief description of your domain and the system to be modeled (the referent), we will survey the synthetic models in that domain and make a recommendation for a particular approach. Often this requires a 1-3 day site visit to discuss your particular problem and how (or if) Agent Based Modeling is an appropriate method. We (customer included) then define requirements and a timeline for a set of deliverables targeting your objectives. We negotiate the terms and conditions for successful delivery and execute. The (often iterative) distinct services that may be involved are:
- M&S project workshop, including introductory tutorials on ABM
- Upstream systems/software engineering, including requirements extraction and project scope
- Implementation
- Testing and verification
- Falsification/Validation
- Presentation and dissemination
Other/MiscBecause we are competent at all stages of a project's lifecycle, we are often asked merely to do one particular task. For example, if you have plenty of software engineers available to you, we may merely hold a workshop to ramp your team up and prepare them to build their own models. Or perhaps you need additional functionality or internal refactoring for efficiency (e.g. parallelization) for a simulation developed elsewhere. It's also plausible for us to help write a white paper or research article in the case that you already have a simulation that demonstrates some principle you'd like to publish.
